Born and brought up in Calcutta, both Ritika & Suhasini have always been exposed to the world of art and culture. Being from design backgrounds – NIFT & Pearl Academy, they are driven by the same passion: love for everything handmade and minimal. In spite of being uncannily similar in a lot of ways, they’d like to believe that they are very different from each other as well. That also stems from the fact that they’re both 5 years apart, Ritika is 29 whereas Suhasini is 24.
For one thing, Ritika loves the colours of nature and being one with it, whereas Suhasini loves everything B&W and likes to immerse herself in the world of poetry. We celebrate our differences and at the same time, learn from and grow with each other.
Nesolo is a tribute to the interdependence of relationships like ours and our craftsmen. It is a commitment to love the people who make our garments just as much as the ones who wear them. We aim to be fully sustainable in our trade. Together we can realise it one beautiful, ethical piece at a time.
